Actually Michael for a company that doesn't have anything, the stockholders have done exceedingly well. Certain stockholders that is. Familiar?
Take the ones who paid a total of $910.00 for 91,061,537 shares in 1987 and assume they sold those for $1.50 + this past year. Not a bad return on their investment, I'd say. Their are people who have been issued shares and options for "consulting" services who have profited greatly during this past year, if they sold during the run ups. No one will explain what these "consultants" did in order to be given so many shares. Sound familiar?
As a matter of fact the "anonymous writer" has gotten quite a few things wrong. It wasn't really the "public" who started trashing the company on the internet, it was the promoters who started hyping the stock last spring to run the price up so they could sell their shares. Sound familiar?
When Barron's wrote their article people became aware of the false claims and began taking a much closer look. That is what has People on this thread so upset. This company cannot withstand scrutiny. Too many of their claims don't hold water and now they want to blame the FDA because, the FDA won't approve Reticulous without knowing what is in it, thank god. ADVR can't give out the formula because it isn't patentable. Therefore you have the Mexican standoff.
So far it has not been proven by any acceptable standards that Reticulose can cure anything at all. The FDA is not trying to throw a monkey wrench in the plans but they have guidelines for drugs and ADVR somehow thinks they should be made an exception to the rules.
Most of the testing that has taken place has been under the auspices of people who hope to distribute the product, and therefore have a vested interest in the testing. The tests done so far have not been under any kind of control except for the commercial distributors control and the "results" are whatever they want them to be. Dr. Resnick who supposedly verified the results of one test was convicted of 54 counts of fraud. Who wants to take the word of a Dr. who defrauds?
I personally don't think it was out of bounds for Barrons to point out that Dr. Hirschman stood to gain monetarily in from his testing. He has made a LOT of money so far and there isn't even a product. His publication of the study he did in vitro was supposedly peer reviewed, however no one can name any one who reviewed his work prior to the publication. The "doctor" who co-authored this piece, is not a doctor according to Mt Sinai but is a lab technician. It is claims like these that raise the questions. Sound familiar?
The people on this board who say they have held the stock for 8 to 10 years and paid less than a penny for it, like Joe Scotti, have already made a big return on their money but for anyone who purchases stock at todays prices, there doesn't seem to be anything except hot air that would cause the stock to "increase in value", but when the stock is run up the insiders are bailing out. Manipulation is the only game I see. And it is the people who buy the stock from the hype on these boards who take the losses just as they did in the SEXI fiasco.
Its is a fair to speculate that there isn't a reason to believe in ADVR as it is to speculate that there is a reason to believe. |
