One of the hottest areas in computer games is Real Time Strategy (RTS). Examples include: Starcraft, Command and Conquer and Age of Empires.

These games involve building up armies and capturing resouces. They have exploded as the internet allows you to play against other human opponents. They also allow for allies and team functions which require a lot of coordination. A voice link is a huge advantage over typing instructions, especially when you are using your keyboard and mouse to control your forces.

I used to play Starcraft (yeah, I am way too old for it) and when I got BCom my team play got substantially better. I also think most of the First Person Shooter (ie, Quake) games offer team mode, and voice is very important to them as well.

Regards,

Archer
