I have just finished reading the entire DAWC thread. It's remarkable to me how much talk goes around without any review of fundemental information.
1) LOOK at the DAWC filings with the SEC made in Feb' '97.
2) The company sold First Equities Corp in February (without any public notice other than the SEC filing) using a profit-sharing deal and the obtaining of a long term note from First Equities. DAWC has three large notes now that they have received no payments on. They use these notes in the filings to list them as ASSETS, even though it is very unlikely they will ever receive any cash on them. Without the notes, the company has NO assets, just millions in debt...a lot of money for a small banking services company.
3) The company has only bought back just over 5000 shares. This has had no effect at all.
4) Referring to Ernest Cespedes's note of Mar 5...I've never heard of "Wallstreet Watch". Why would "retailers" notice DAWC if there is absolutely nothing in the public domain worth getting excited about. If you look at this company with no emotion, you see nothing but a disaster. By the way, how does a company's IP know that current shareholder's are accumulating more stock? For a penny stock, this is impossible.
5) Hear this...DAWC HAS NOT ISSUED THE WARRENTS YET! THEY STILL HAVE NOT FILED THE APPROPRIATE PAPERS (see their recent Q report of Feb '97).
6) The word MERGER has appeared recently. There is NO evidence of this, so don't believe it. Besides, a merger is not always a positive thing.
7) Even though a company says they are putting out good news doesn't mean it's really good news. Every company on this planet thinks they are going to kick ass. It's just wishful thinking. Make your decisions on real news, not expected news.
Finally, I know it sounds like I'm bashing this company, but it's based on real facts filed with the U.S. Government. I follow this stock because I bought 100,000 shares back in August, before the recent split. This was a bad move. I did it based on hearsay and emotion. I've learned my lesson since then and am doing much better with the stock market. I continue to follow it out of pure hope. However, I would never buy more until after some positive meaningful news occurs.
Please, look at the real facts an let me know what you think. |
