ck, a cyberassociate of mine from another commercial 'net provider wrote me about 8 wks ago stating the following:
"I, (name withheld,) wrote over 100 patents for various "cracking" processes for crude oil refineries, currently in the state of NJ alone. Lotsa luck operating THOSE processes manually. I'm scared because I live in NJ, basically next to some of these installations."
ck, i was so dumb, i had to ask what "cracking" was. turns out that crackin is the industry name for the process of taking the crude in "one end" and splitting/cracking it into all the desired products that come out "the other end" such as heating oil, distillates, car & other machine lubricants, basic polymer building blocks for products like PVC, etc.,
this person is 76 years young and still active as a patent attorney in the legal profession.
i have a high degree of belief in the above opinion re: "current state of refining" affairs statement being factual. |
