since i bought ours over 18 months ago, i'd be interested to learn if they have upped prices significantly since i shelled out about $700 plus...(this is ONE CASE when our strong us$ came in handy since all their product line is priced in canadian $$.)
here is the descriptor of their Sanimarin product, their DC product line.
The Sanimarin is similar to the Sanicompact and works in the same manner. The difference between the two toilet models is that the Sanimarin operates on 12 VDC. This makes it suitable for use in boats or remote areas, which are solar powered.
This modern shaped china toilet is especially designed to give boaters the comfort of a residential style toilet and, as a toilet that uses a minimum amount of water. The flushing mechanism is electrically timed to allow approximately 3.5 liters (1.3 USG) of water to pass through the toilet.
The Sanimarin has no external water tank as the flushing mechanism is built in and is totally electric. After use one presses a pneumatic button on top of the bowl, this activates a timer and water valve in order to fill and wash the sides of the bowl. The motor starts and the waste and paper are sucked inside, were it is macerated and pumped away. The motor stops after approximately 15 seconds and the timer programs the refill of the bowl with "fresh" water.
The discharge pipe of the Sanimarin is 1 inch in diameter, the pump operates at 7 PSI and pumps the effluent upwards to 9 feet and/or 100 feet horizontally. The discharge pipe-work may be made with a continuous hose which must withstand at least 10 PSI and must be strong enough that it will not collapse. At the holding tank end connect the hose with an appropriate fitting. Electrical supply to the Sanimarin is 12VDC, 30 Amp.
The Sanimarin is available in the following voltages: 12 vdc, 24vdc, 120 vac, 220 vac |
