We broke 40 again this morning- probably based on this news (just part of the article):

"Friday May 7 12:46 AM ET
Microsoft Invests $5 Billion In At&T By Jessica Hall
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Software giant Microsoft said Thursday it would
take a $5 billion stake in AT&T Corp. (NYSE:T - news) in exchange for a broader role in providing the nation's largest phone company with software that delivers voice, video and Internet services through cable television set-top boxes.

The link with Microsoft, which will take a 3 percent stake in AT&T, puts in AT&T's hands the software it will need to implement its broader plan of providing voice, video data, Internet services directly to customers' over cable lines and to compete against the regional phone companies.

The deal follows AT&T's plan to buy MediaOne Group Inc., the No. 3 U.S. cable television company, for about $58 billion in a move that also will make AT&T the largest cable operator with a potential audience of 25 million homes.

General Instrument Corp. (NYSE:GIC - news), which makes the physical set-top box, stands to reap huge gains since it already a relationship with AT&T, analysts said."
