I'm gonna open my craw here and reveal how tech ignorant I am. But - how hard and expensive would it be for the relevant players to build a WinCE STB with two independent CPUs, so that if one "hangs up" the other can seamlessly take the ball and run, allowing the "choker" to restart? Okay, you have 2 CPUs, but they're getting cheaper. Is the control/oversight circuitry simple or not?
