as a shareholder, this is what I feel we deserved!!!!!!.

What we "deserve" as shareholders is for the company management to do what is in the best interest of the company. That doesn't necessarily correspond with what you want them to do personally. In my opinion, they needed to take this time to thoroughly consider what has happened and what they are going to do. They were completely surprised, and it would have been foolish (IMO) to lob some response out there just to make us feel better.
