Good morning Bachman,

I would not be surprised to see Dell depart from its historic pattern of strictly internal growth. It is clear to me that Dell's hyperbolic growth in the PC sector is coming to an end because its increasing market share precludes growth at multiples much greater than growth of the computer market. Therefore, if the company is to continue to grow at rapid rates it will need to find new growth opportunities that are consistent with its BTO technology.

Exactly what those opportunities are, I cannot say, but it would not surprise me to find Dell making a few technology acquisitions in the near future. I would look at small companies with broad-reaching technology capable of being manufactured and marketed by a variant of Dell's business model.

An alternate acquisition might be GTW as a preemptive strike. I have discussed this idea in previous posts.

TTFN,
CTC
