Nike Golf Continues to Build Management Team
Mike Kelly, Stan Grissinger and Hector Hernandez Accept Key Posts In Nike Golf Co.
BEAVERTON, Ore., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Mike Kelly has accepted the newly created position of director of communications for the Nike Golf Co., effective May 28, 1999. Kelly will be responsible for all media communications concerning Nike Golf, establishing its Internet site and developing its database and relationship marketing programs.
Kelly brings to Nike more than nine years in the golf industry, starting with the Ram Golf Co. He has been at Taylor Made since 1995, most recently as communications director. At Taylor Made, Kelly developed an innovative communications program that integrated both product and brand messages through a wide variety of media, including a Taylor Made web site, PURE magazine, infomercials and strong database and public relations programs.
Stan Grissinger has been named category product director, golf equipment, and will be responsible for continuing the development of the company's successful golf ball introduction, golf bags, gloves and other non-footwear or apparel products.
Grissinger worked more than seven years at MaxFli, most recently as the business manager for golf balls. Among his accomplishments was the successful launch of MaxFli's ''Revolution'' golf ball.
Hector Hernandez is the new senior apparel designer for Nike Golf's men's line, effective May 3. Hector joined the Nike Golf Co. after serving as the senior designer for Fila, leading development for their golf and tennis lines. Hector brings to Nike Golf a broad variety of menswear and sports-inspired design experience, including Bill Robinson, Robert Comstock and R.H. Macy.
