Dallas Fed's McTeer urges alleviating job shortage SAN FRANCISCO, May 7 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Robert McTeer on Friday urged loosening restrictions on skilled immigrants and other measures to alleviate a U.S. labor shortage. ''One of my suggestions is to simply eliminate the earnings tax on Social Security recipients that want to go back and work,'' McTeer told the Louisiana Bankers Association in San Francisco. ''The other suggestion is to liberalize immigration rules for skilled foreign workers.''
