Garret Krause Thinks You Are Stupid!!
He thinks that hype and publicity is what drives up stock prices. He doesn't understand that when people see press releases comparing his company to CMGI or SFE, that it doesn't hold up under even the loosest of scrutiny. Which is why people will never commit their own hard earned cash to purchasing shares of his company.
Look at Janus, for example. This company has no direction, and at best is a publicly traded fleet of fishing boats. SolutionNet - what a joke. They change the name of a company, which is a software company, not a network of any type, just to capitalize on the Inernet craze. Totally stupid. And further, check out what was once Trillium Media, which is a SIPOD to be, which they have renamed TrillMediaNet.com.
So, if you are long these shares, you have got to think that putting a snazzy name on something will really work and that using hype is a sound business practice.
I think that quality, integrity, honesty, and MODESTY might serve this company quite well in the future. I think that Garret Krause needs to mention himself a little less in the press, and I think that they ought to just focus on creating good companies and chill out on the press. Just report the facts, Krause. Anything else means people won't believe you. Are you a salesman, or are you a CEO? |
