Robert, i agree that the recent action in the internet issues looks like an important psychological shift has taken root. it will be interesting to see whether they manage a retracement rally from here or continue to break down. if they break down further i would view that as a strong negative for the overall market. as to the effect of news on the market, my 'scratching my head' comment was rather rhetorical. i merely wanted to point out that it is strange that a lagging indicator has become so important to the market. regards, hb
