These are not really difficult concepts:
1) The long term values of good companies are sometimes not perceived.
2) Not all companies are properly valued at the same time.

For instance:
1) Go to investools.com
2) Look at a 12mo chart for AMAT
3) Look at a 12mo chart for DELL
4) Look at a 3 yr chart for DELL
5) I've owned AXC a short time (11 mos). In 2 years, I'll enjoy looking at ITS 3 yr chart
