News Release - Golden River Signs Confidentiality Agreement with Leading US Mining Company for Possible La Lajita Property Development May 6, 1999.
Seattle Washington: Golden River Resources Inc. (OTC BB:GDRV) has entered into a confidentiality agreement with a major US mining company to examine and develop Golden River's La Lajita property, which recently announced the commencement of phase one drilling at the site.

The La Lajita concession is located in the Municipality of PuebloNuevo, Durango State, Mexico. The concession has a long history of gold and silver production, but has never had modern exploration or drilling carried out on it until the Company got involved.
An initial program of 1200 meters of HQ diamond drilling is being carried out by Britton Brothers drilling of Smithers, B.C., Canada, through its Mexican subsidiary company, under the supervision of Golden River president and chief geologist David St. Clair Dunn, P.Geo.

The first area to be tested is the Dos Hermanos zone where past sampling returned up to 50 g/t gold over two meters within a larger mineralized zone, up to 20 meters in thickness. There are several other target areas on the La Lajita property also selected for drilling.

Chemex Laboratories of Vancouver, B.C. will prepare assays upon completion of phase one drilling at La Lajita, with initial results scheduled to be available early to mid-June.
