*Off Topic* Dear Quantum, I like the idea of your new trading stock QTTK as described in the following press release. I like the idea of trading returns of 44 to 54% per month as this kind of performance is well suited to my needs. I noticed your audited performance trial began on April Fool's Day, but hey, you have to start sometime. Anyway, you seem like pretty nice folks. You have found an easy way to generate 7500% annual returns in the market and instead of being greedy and using it for evil, you decided it is best to let me buy stock and also send my trading money to you so you can make me rich too. It did concern me to see the commissions you might be charging account for 20% of my return, but what do I care if you take a million out of each five you make for moi. Its OK with me.

I have a proposal for you that will help ensure the rapid acceptance of your business. I am nice too so I will give the idea to you.

I expect to make $759,000 in nine months using your trading system and brokerage services just like you did. But here's the thing: I need to borrow the $29,725 to start the ball rolling. How about you advance it to me? I appreciate your timely response as I could use the $759,000 right away. Don't forget you will get maybe $150,000 in commissions so this is definitely a win-win proposal.

Quantum Technology to File Form 10 to Become Reporting Company
MALIBU, Calif., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Technology Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: QTTK - news), ''has engaged auditors and has directed the Company's counsel, Foley & Lardner to file a Form 10 with the SEC so that it can become a full reporting company. The Company estimates the filing will be completed within the next 90-120 days,'' Donald Beck, Chairman and CEO, announced today.

''With the Form 10 being prepared, Quantum is now ready to advance to the next level of being a publicly traded company and is taking the necessary steps to move the Company's listing to a major exchange,'' Mr. Beck said.

Quantum Technology's Proprietary NYSE Day Trading Technology in a nine month trading trial ended December 31, 1998, had cumulative performance returns of 2550%. During this same period the S&P Index increased 11%. This trading trial is a continuation of the Company's first extended live trading trial for Day Trading of NYSE equities, where Quantum reported cumulative performance results of 1213% for the six month period ending September 30, 1998, with results audited and attested to in accordance with stringent Level II examination under AIMR standards by the international accounting firm of KPMG LLP. This report can be viewed on Quantum's Website at qttk.com.

The initial NYSE six-month audited trial began on April 1, 1998 with an investment of $29,725 which, on September 30, 1998, had grown to $390,578. At the conclusion of the nine-month trial ending December 31, 1998, the investment had risen to $759,521, a total cumulative performance return of 2550%.

Quantum's core technology, which is the foundation of the Company, has been under development for more than 16 years. It incorporates a combination of hardware, software and satellite-fed data, which produces real-time non- discretionary alphanumeric instructions. Purely technical in character, the system gives no consideration to fundamental investment analysis elements, nor does it consider technical analysis techniques that are employed to predict the price trends of the market or individual securities. Instead, the technology discretely analyzes each trade of the financial instrument to which it is applied and determines the impact of each trade. The operating technician receives real-time non-discretionary alphanumeric instructions to direct the precise trade execution.

>>>>>>>>>>Teleportation Has Moved From Science Fiction to Science Fact
It Could Take Another 20 Years for Practical Applications to Emerge Says New Report from Technical Insights
ENGLEWOOD, N.J., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Over the past year, the media has been saturated with stories about recent developments in teleportation. But don't cancel your frequent flyer miles just yet, says a new Futuretech report from Technical Insights, a unit of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., ''The Entangled State of Quantum Teleportation Research.'' Physicists have only been able to teleport very small things, such as a beam of light or the angular momentum of atomic nuclei and practical applications are at least 15 to 20 years away.

Despite the fact that the research is still in its nascent stage, there are some big applications on the horizon that could incorporate teleportation technologies being developed today, particularly quantum computers and quantum cryptography. Quantum teleportation could also be used for another emerging technology called superdense coding, where two quantum bits could be transmitted for the price of one classical one.

Even though the technology is still fairly rudimentary, laboratory researchers are sending things from one place to another without moving them anywhere in between. Artur Ekert, a member of the UK's Centre for Quantum Computing (CQC), has been tackling some of the bottom-line problems that quantum computers are facing, such as the universality of quantum logic gates, quantum decoherence and quantum recoherence. He suggests that the first uses will be seen in encryption, where coding procedures call for the factorization of very large numbers and similar problems.

''Quantum computers will contribute to cryptanalysis and because of this the crypto agencies, such as NSA [National Security Agency] or GCHQ [Government Communications Headquarters], have some vested interest in quantum computation. Other applications will include database search and quantum metrology,'' he says.

''The Entangled State of Quantum Teleportation Research'' features a concise overview of technical workings of quantum teleportation plus a compelling narrative detailing recent advances made by leading research groups, including Austria's Universitat Innsbruck, Italy's Universita di Roma, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the California Institute of Technology. Like all of the Futuretech series, readers get full contact information, including names, mail and e-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers of key developers.
