MT is Montana, right? I've been there. No speed limits if I remember correctly.

But that was 1969. Nice big open countryside. They also had crosses on the road side where people had been killed in car accidents. I think they got rid of them because it disturbed the relatives of those who died. I think the speed limit thing is off again now the Feds have relinquished the national laws.

Great Falls was a really funky city, but 1969 was a time of general weirdness (Vietnam, silent majority, end of the 60's and for that matter, the unabashed idealism that went along with it). People just seemed to be out of tune with themselves and each other. I also went to Florida at Christmas 1969 and ended up driving back along the Eastern seaboard through Philadelphia. Talk about the heart of darkness.

Enough of the way back machine. Should do some charts and make some money...
