PC DOCS Postpones Shrholder Mtg On Hummingbird Takeover Bid TORONTO (Dow Jones)--PC DOCS Group International Inc. (DOCS) said it has postponed its special shareholder meeting in connection with the takeover bid by Hummingbird Communications Ltd. (HUMC) by a week, to May 21. In a news release, PC DOCS said a special board committee has also decided to postpone the separation time of rights under its shareholder rights plan as a result of the competing takeover bid by Open Text Corp. (OTEX). As reported, Hummingbird is offering one-third of a share for each PC DOCS share, while Open Text is offering C$8.50 cash for each PC DOCS share. Hummingbird shares closed at 23.40 on the Toronto Stock Exchange Thursday. PC DOCS makes document and database-management software. Hummingbird provides enterprise connectivity software. Open Text, Waterloo, Ont., provides intranet software technology.
