Dear Don;

<<Never does Jesus or anyone in scripture say he was "GOD THE SON.>>

I must disagree with the above statement.

Jhn 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

The Greek word translated as God is theos. AV - God 1320, god 13, godly 3, God-ward + 4214 2, misc 5; 1343

I must also share my knowledge of Jewish thinking. A devout Jewish man, which Thomas must have been, would never use this expression without meaning to worship Yeshua as God.

Of course the Logos of John 1 refers to Yeshua.

Jhn 1:1 IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jhn 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Don could we agree to use a more widly accepted translation than the New World? The translators of this version have not been disclosed or their credentials verified. I suggest once again that we use the New American Standard. I believe that good exegesis of the Greek can be accomplished using this version as our starting point. Can you agree to this or make another suggestion?
