Steeny,
My AOL boat is already loaded so no shooting please, I don't need a hole in the boat.
Government intervention is never good. If this is the best we can do we look weak. It is weak. What else?!
I saw today that two members of the House of Representatives from Virginia introduced a bill that would open up the "pipes". Good news; one Democrat, one Republican; bad news, both from Va. Unless AOL has decided on a single broad band approach (unlikely) Mr. Case should consider an investment (soon) in cable. It wouldn't have to be a lot of money. It wouldn't even have to be strategic. He needs to let the world know (by investing, no speeches or press releases)that he believes in cable and let the world know that all our eggs are not in the DSL basket.
How about some money into satellite, too. Is Teledisc looking for another partner?
Since I've begun playing "Captain of the Universe": I'd love to see Steve Case and Bill Gates become buddies. Maybe Gates mentoring Case (sort of). Imagine the potential in that relationship.

Mike
