<< If we wanted to sell out, we would have pursued a cash deal, and we probably would have ended up with a different company,>>

To clarify and emphasize, I am requoting the sentence.
Let's ignore all the analysts' statements and all other comments on this thread.
I want to analyze this sentence the way many did the 2 words 'irrational exuberance' from Greenspan.
Just pretend Cowell told you this over dinner at his house. The rest of the conversation with him was about your wife and kids. If I were you, I'd want to think about the above sentence and its connotation a bit.
Did he mean it's very unlikely that there would be an offer from another company such as Cisco (whatever the reason)? (Wouldn't USRX holders be interested in entertaining this idea?) What different companies did he hint at? (I'd be damn curious.) Did he actually talk with other cash-rich companies to be able to mention and disparage these potential cash deals as not as good? (Cowell might not want to cash out, but some shareholders might.)

People with more imagination than I will have other and better questions.
I don't yet assume that this deal will be consummated. I don't reject the opportunity to evaluate other potential combinations. I am still thinking about the deal despite the fact that many already did much thinking for me on this thread or elsewhere.
