DD,

There is no real profit for me in selling gold short. So long as gold is under pressure, that means that the economy is still kicking and mucho dinero still to be made in selected stocks.

Far more than dicking around shorting gold contracts for a full bucks here and there.

As for Kosovo, you couldn't be more wrong (except for this being a black eye for US policy. The Russians have withdrawn support for Serbia, having been bought off by the west in IMF loans. They are actively involved in trying to resolve this issue and Clinton and Milosevic are both just merely dancing around trying to get the best deal for their respective gov'ts.

Clinton is a lame duck now. He has no real authority in that even Congress is publicly voting against ground troops in Kosovo. There simply isn't going to be a ground war (although it is highly likely there are already SpecOps troops in Kosovo right now doing targeting).

It is a black eye for Clinton, not the US. Even though we have been shown the limits of military action when our national interests are not involved, the weaponry that has been revealed and utilized in this air campaign (GPS guided bombs, B-2 stealth technology, and those nifty filament bombs that short out entire eletrical grids) have shown without question that the US possesses the capabilty to utterly disrupt and destroy the infrastructure of an opponent without resorting to nuclear weapons should anyone piss us off enough to make us use them.

Just my opinion.

Regards,

Ron
