Thanks for the clear explanation.

Another question: Correct me where I'm wrong...

If I write the covered calls for say, 10 contracts, I pay the commission to my broker. If someone exercises my calls, essentially I now have to sell the 1000 shares and I'd pay the commission for the sale. Is that right?
