Just some thoughts about shorting. First of all,
In general I am considered a long term value investor.
I also learned the importance and profitability of
short term and daytrading. As I refine my skills to
become a good trader one must learn the art of going
long and short efficiently both ways. In these times
of extreme volatility, the opportunity presents itself
on so many occasions and RARELY we take advantage of
the situation. To be good at what we do, we MUST train
ourselves to be as comfortable doing BOTH. Of course one
must get good at spotting when to go long, and when you
feel your more proficient at spotting that, reverse the
indicators, and there are your shorts. It take less
volume to make a stock go down than it does to make it
go up. You can be in and out just as quick as you are
when you go long ( As long as your broker is not f---ing
up that day! ;) Most likely I will not utilize this strategy
as much as looking for good long runs. It will become at
least 1/3 of my trading strategy in time as I improve my
trading skills and at this rate that will be awhile :).

Best Regards to all

WB
Oh! you all saw it here 1st, that is my 1st short,
it'll probably bite me in the ass and teach me lesson,
but If I don't start sometime, I'm missing out of the other
half of the chart, there is always two sides to the line,
and we get to make money on both of them.

Not directed to you personally Osprey
