Thanks for the reponses to my SHORT inquiries. I couldn't wait 'till the Saturday Globe & Mail so I phoned TSE today and asked what the present short position on PLT is and it is now 800,000 (800 something thousand). I sat back and thought about it a little longer and you are all correct, that is a tiny amount. Considering the additional 16mil was pumped in recently 800 thousand is quite insignificant. I still can't understand why to some shorting is more profitable than going long, in this stock in particular. Shorting it, the max you gain is 30 some odd cents (in the absolute impossibility that this company completely flops over and shares are worthless), whereas going long, one has the potential of multiplying their investment if they make a good turnaround and shares become multibanger. I remember either the CEO or another director was quoted saying that "profitability may return to historic levels", though quite unlikely, if it does and share prices return to historic levels... WOW and to all shorters, sorry about your loss.

just wondering
