Neocon: Just catching up after being out of town for the week. This article is fascinating. I saw on Fox News, just before I left, the mention of the two citizens stopping the school shooters with their own guns. Fox said that of 96 news reports of the Pearl, Miss. shooting only 8 reported it was stopped by the use of a gun. Same with the Edinboro shooting. Journalists are determined to shape the world as they see fit to shape it. Gone are the days where future journalists are taught to be objective in their reporting. What's overlooked when it was reported that the police arrived minutes later is that once the police arrived then what? They sure wouldn't have charged in like the citizens who stopped the carnage. They would have stayed outside to set up a 'perimeter', etc. and even more would have been killed. Maybe it's unfair to say, but as it has been said before, the police seem to have guns more to protect themselves more than to protect the citizens. I have ordered John Lott's book and am awaiting its arrival. halfscot
