mr. mark I have win 98 and I cleaned out files and programs because I am going to donate it to a school. Now when it boots it has a message box saying "Missing shortcut", then it asks do I want it to point to Paint and I said yes. Now when it boots the paint program loads on the screen. How can I get rid of this opening shortcut command. I have tried all I know, even removing the Paint program, now it wants to point to Word Pad. Thanks for your help. R
