Robert,,

Did you run the cable through a hub and then through the computers ... I noticed that
@HOME wants you to pay for an extra ISP address per month ... but I assume this isn't
necessary.

Also, does using on two computers reduce the speed of connection at all?

Thanks!

Jeff,

I know this was not directed at me but I thought I would put in my two cents. We have cable access in my area which is a small town. I have an office at home and have four workstations connected to a hub and each has a fixed IP address. The cable company charges me $125/month and the ISP which is highwaygds.net charges me $10/month for each IP address. My cable modem maximum throughput is 45 mbs. Each workstation maximum is 10 mbs. The ISP for the entire cable system is supplied by a T3 and that is shared by other users on the cable system. Typical download throughput is about 4 mbs per workstation. Typically, the largest bottlneck is the server from which we get data.
