Wow and I thought $40 a month for @Home service was a lot!

The high price is due to the monopoly held here by the cable firm and the service is not directed at the home user. It is directed at business users.

But thanks for the info. I hear you can set it up so all the computers (actually, I only need
two) can use the same IP address, but so far it's all theory for me.


This cannot be done if you are using a hub for your network. The IP address is how the computer is addressed. They need to have separate IDs or IPs so to speak.

Funny, although an investor in AOL, I don't use it myself. Have always scorned it,
actually :-)


I had AOL since they were tiny so I keep the bring your own service for $10/month.
