"The big lesson is simple: PC makers need to find other ways to make money, even if by some miracle PC prices eventually rise from the dead."

CM--That's why I don't understand why OEM's aren't clamoring to shove our chips into their machines. Even if their margins weren't down, you'd think that they'd be looking to find new revenue streams, and you'd particularly think so if by doing so it gave them a competitive advantage over their rivals. The people who run these companies are, presumably, rational folks, leading me to believe that there is either some question about the reliability of the chips (which I doubt, as I understand that they've been successfully tested, and also doubt that outfits as well respected as HP and Sarnoff would make agreements with us if the chips tests hadn't proved successful), or there is some question about whether consumers would use them if they were deployed (and, concomitantly, whether enough vendors would sign up with Wave to justify deploying the chip).

Still, you'd think ONE of these OEMs would take a chance, wouldn't you? The chips aren't THAT expensive, and they certainly could profitably use their inclusion in their boxes in their marketing campaigns (or so it seems to me, anyway).

I've been in this stock for 10 months now, and have been extremely gratified at the appreciation of the stock (which I first purchased under $4, and have added more to my portfolio at $10, $16, and $22). I consider myself "married" to this stock, for better or worse, but still don't understand why some OEM--Gateway, Dell, Compaq, etc.--has yet to take a chance on our chip.

Any thoughts?
