Valley Media Announces Partnership
With Web Retailer Buy.com

WOODLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 1999--Valley
Media, Inc. (Nasdaq:VMIX - news), announced details today on a
fulfillment contract signed with Internet retailer Buy.com.

Under the terms of the contract, Valley will handle fulfillment of music product to Buy.com's
consumer customers.
Buy.com's music site went on-line on April 25, 1999.
