Well Post Patrol (Big Bull ? - whomever); as you promised you'd keep an eye on my results; I thought it would only be ''Truth in Reporting'' to visit yours; and for the light of truth to be shined in every corner and for the numbers to do the talking !

From the time of your post both stocks fell rather strongly.
MAVK - fell from $10 Mon. to close at $8.68 Friday
FENYQ - fell from $1.57 Mon. to close at $1.25 friday
Friday; MAVK down 14% ! and FENYQ down 8% - hope it didn't ruin your weekend.....
Not bad plays, if you would have went short instead of long !
PS - Post Patrol; ie: FEN/FENYQ - some of us who are not part of a 7 man Brain-Trust; found buying FEN back at 25/32nds and then selling/trading for a TRIPLE was a little better ''trade'' fwiw.

PS - as I posted; after selling 80% of shares for a triple; I still hold a few ''zero cost basis'' shares at a still + 53% return. While you may view these ''waffles'' as ''buying opportunities'' (with a 5 point total OSX range/potential move !???? LOL) - I'll just keep doing ''my thing'' and we'll just continue to let the numbers do the talking.
I'll continue to be nearly fully weighted into the small cap E&P's which actually are immediately benefiting from the current run of Oil & Gas prices. Here is a chart on the 5 small cap E&P's that I have been pounding the table on. Own and still holding them all: an average 20 day return of 70% vs. the OSX up 18%; is nearly a 400% return/outperformance of the OSX !
There is being right; and then there is ''beating the crowd to the party'' and being very, very right !
And how did these E&P small caps do as opposed to the OSX ? Well, lets just say that the OSX would have to go to; OSX 308 to match these E&P gains (V V VBG).

For those who bought into the ''hold'', or even worse; the still uninteligible theory of buying this retracement, this week (what retracment ? - see chart) - look closely at the chart for the past week and not the full 20 day period. I also, won't mention the extreme overweighting to MEXP & PGEI in particular.... Post Patrol; you would need OSX 500+ to match my gains of late and I don't want to discourage the ''real'' buy & hold crowd too badly !
Here is this weeks OSX chart: please explain how this represents any type of a buying opportunity ? ( Seems like a Buy late, buy high strategy to me ?) and with a ''7 - man'' Brain Trust having 8 years Oilpatch experience; you saw ''THIS" as a buying opportunity ? Well I guess your 2 calls on MAVK & FENYQ kind of said it all, now didn't it ?

This wasn't a retracement ! If you want to buy a ''retracement'' - first it helps to know what one is... Many of ''us'' bought the OSX 45-50 bottoms during the 4-peat bottoms of late (not to mention that we often sold/took profits near, or at the tops as well ); all the posts are here on the record. While I would never discourage anyone from buying and holding vs. trading. I just have to step up and expose charlatans for what their results clearly indicate they are ! For those inclined to trade; never - and I repeat NEVER; has there been a more tradeable, rolling range (4 of them !), along with all of these individual trading opportunies (loads of 50% to triples, 2-3 day moves) as well as all of these subsector rotation plays... NEVER in the ENTIRE history of the Oilpatch - has trading, verus mere buying and holding been so profitable ! NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would anyone be buying virtually ''ANY" OSX stocks this past week (unless they were actively trading - which you have said YOU do NOT do ); when 4- 6 times in the last 8 months; including a mere 30 days ago; you could have bought them all about 50% less than this past weeks prices ? And you are '' still waiting to load the boat'' ? I hope the hell that anyone with 8 months experience, let alone 8 years; has allready loaded the boat here - if they are a buy & hold ''investor'' vs. being a trader; as you have described yourself.
Sorry, but for a 7 headed Oilpatch Braintrust, with 8 years of sector experience - what the hell were you guys smoking ? Honestly, never have I seen anyone who so clearly; just doesn't ''get it'' !
Why would anyone be excited about buying VTS NE, or PDE here ? Most of us bought PDE at the $5 breakout, VTS was a fav' here - many loaded at $10-12, and NE here ? - pleeeeeeze, enough allready ROFLMAO ! - and this is the savvy strategy from a 7-Man Oilpatch Think Tank with 8 years of investing experience in this sector? This is the ''best'' that the Post Patrol can come up with ?

Good Luck all - hope I pointed a few of you in the right direction. There are some virtual ''free-money'' trades here. We are in the sweet spot on some sub-sectors here. Never has being a stock picker versus just matching/riding the index, offered such a spread in potential returns.
PS - never be afraid to take profits & never let the Home Runs turn into a double by failing to touch third base.....
