WebTalk vs Freetel, Internet Phone, and Digiphone..PCWorld June 1996
"Of the four products we examined the best was Quarterdeck's WebTalk. It was the most useful-and the only one that lets you set up calls through an IRC server or from one IP address to another.
Freetel was easy to install and has some nice features, such as a chat window that lets you exchange text messages (so does WebTalk)it also includes full duplex drivers for soundblaster sound cards. However, the audio quality was unacceptable. All conversations experienced delays and dropouts, making a true conversation impossible. The version we tested was a beta, however, so check out the final version slated to be released by the time you read this.
