Hello Mike,

I've been eyeing up Siebel for a couple of weeks now and appreciate your reply to my earlier inquisitive post.

A couple of more thoughts/questions...

O.K., the market is growing at a rapid clip, so Siebel is in a tornado. They are also the leader in the tornado.

The thing that I still wonder about is the whole value chain of this product and Siebel's links in the value chain. Who sells the software? Is it consultants like Andersen Consulting who fully back Siebel and recommend it extremely to their customers? Or does Siebel sell the software and implement it themselves? Are other software developers making products that work better/only with Siebels?

Basically, I see from your research that Siebel is at least looking to be like a King in a tornado market, but what exactly makes them take the leap to a Gorilla?

Thanks again,

Grant
