($40/month 1.5-4Mb/sec)" If you actually get that 4MB/sec throughput, you must be one of the lucky ones who either lives out in the country, or not many people have signed up for cable modem access in your area...I was promised up to 10MB/sec on my cable modem service too, and never saw more than about 250KB/sec...and during prime time when everyone logged on I was avging about 2k/sec...my 28.8 was giving me a faster connection...that's why I switched to DSL...Cable was just too unreliable for me.
