Patricia, Found a few bugs in the coding. Plus the shipping fees it tabulated for me were way out of line with the norm, plus the site was not a secure one, so was unwilling to go final on the purchase.
The actual part where you see the product was awkward. Guys tend to know what they want before they go into a store, and gals tend to go into a store to see if there is anything they want. But even so, both of us seem to like to compare. For example, if I went in for some bolts (I'm thinking hardware, just put up a swing-set for the kids), I would go straight to the bolt section and buy bolts; however, I would probably look at different bolts (Aluminum, steel, hardened steel, galvanized, etc.) and choose which one I thought was suitable for the task. And, to bring my point back around to the NetCigar, you cannot see any one whole cigar brand section. You have to keep recycling through each single cigar. Very poor marketing in my opinion. I often know what brand of cigar I want, but I occasionally choose different sizes. The site's current design makes it impossible to “spur of the moment” comparison shop. That is, I may be thinking I want to buy a Robusto, but when looking at the special pricing, I may change my mind if another cigar is close in price, or I may add another cigar because I can quickly tabulate the total in my head. This type of shopping is very difficult to do with NetCigar's design. IMO NetCigar's design is not very consumer friendly.
Hope that came out correctly, (not politically correctly, I couldn't give a crap about political correctness, just hoping my poor English skills managed to get my point across).
NetCigar on debut: two thumbs down. This was on the first day, they may have fixed problems since then, I haven't made the time to go back since being there within the first hours of opening. If I understand their order numbering system, I would have been customer #7.
