obviously you have no clue about DSL and their problems also. Tell that to all the investors that lost moneys on Pair and Westel the last 3 years. The RBOCs are dragging their feet. There are plenty of limitations with Dsl just as Cable have. Tell me, since AOL announced deals with the 2 babybells, where is it? if you think it is ready for national roll out as the rest of the diehard AOLers believed in 6 months, you are dreaming. Odds are AOL will lease T cable lines along with DSL they PLAN TO OFFER. With all the whinings, who do you think AOL is paying to offer the 17 millions subscribers. MCI WILL BE THE ONE IN PAIN IF THEY DON'T FIND A WAY TO OFFER AOL AN UPDRADE!!..MCI get the biggest chunk out of yours and mine montly membership fee I believe. There is plenty of money to go around to T and the babybells. I own both stock because I believe AOL will be smart and do deal with both T and bells. DSL will not be feasible and some areas and vice versa with cable. "choice" will be the bottom line for the consumers. I don't know the breakout of Mci share of the membership fee but I am willing to bet that if AOL give T that part instead, all of us might not have to pay that much extra and have AOL at a much faster speed. Someone over the AOL can shine more lights on my views I am sure.
