George, I may be old fashioned but a requirement is called such for a reason just like anticipating a future event in itself means a possibility of some event happening or not. Things really start going downhill when a requirement becomes a whimsical matter and even worse yet when some are held to requirements and others are not. In my opinion the FDA is the epitome of whimsical fantasy when it comes to efficacy requirements. Therefore also in my opinion it doesn't matter except that Xoma is in the old close enough for government work range on the requirement issue. Hopefully SL and others finally realize from this trial that science and the FDA's idea of efficacy don't match up too well. My prediction still stands George on the trial will indeed stop without meeting the so called "requirement" and that close enough, on target, but not bull's eye will win the day. Only wild speculation on my part once again and all the above only my opinions. George I felt great in voting no. Thanks again for suggesting it.
