So-so article. Weak on content.

All the companies are promising buyers free upgrades to the eventual standard, expected next year. When a compromise is reached, they will alter their modems for free to work with all the others.

Who has explicitly stated that all of their 56k modems will be upgraded to the ITU standard for free?
