They do have a good inventory for shorting though. This is the key. Schwab has great service, but I got sick of being told "not shortable". When the stock wasn't shortable, it wasn't available. I've been using DLJ for about a month now and have been able to short all kind of stuff that wasn't shortable at Schwab. My tune may change when I encounter a problem, but so far, its ok. From what I hear, Yamner is the best combo: Great service & great short availability. When I grow up and can run with the big boys, maybe I'll get an account at Yamner too. :-)
