sig...you tell me a story of msdw, that i live through several times a year....

dell probably 50% of my portfolio...msdw makes a market in dell..."new" branch manager, very sincere, but also naive called me one evening, without the knowledge of my broker and asked why i just bought an additional 10k shares of dell....it seemed to me management was not as concerned with what i was doing, but wanting to know if my broker was making these recommendations...had a "choice" account no transaction commission, but flat per cent of portfolio..did all my major trading last month, set most long put sale positions, and went back to "active assets"...considering going back to choice if they combine with on-line trading..my broker discounts all trades...i keep 5 stocks primarily for covered call writing, at any given time at least one will have above average volatility...i refer to my longs as my "inventory"...even in the worst of times i can generate a lot of cash by covered calls...thanks sharing your experience..ed a.
