I take care of money management and position-sizing through Excel. Obviously, to know what my account equity is when contemplating a new purchase, I need the current stock price in Excel for each of my present holdings. This requires laborious input on my part if I have open positions in a number of stocks. Which brings me to my question:

Does anyone know of a way to access the QP database from Excel to obtain the closing price of a given stock for the current day ONLY?Obviously, I can use the macro posted on the Q+ website or an OLE link to Metastock to import all historical data for a given stock into a separate worksheet and use that worksheet to reference in the most recent stock price, but I'd rather not clutter a workbook that way. This old geezer of a computer can't really handle so much data all that well and I just know that there has got to be an easier way to get only the current closing price updated each day as I boot up Excel. Suggestions? Am I going to have to learn VBA? Has someone already figured this out so that I do not have to reinvent the wheel?

Thanking everyone in advance,

Chris.
