Well - thanks for the mental calisthenics. This is a request for proposal to develop a high-performance integrated gigabit network infrastructure to replace and expand an existing lan / wan based primarily on 100 mbit technology.

CPQ's proposal is interesting from several perspectives, not the least is being easily the lowest cost. Without looking in depth at the engineering detail it is hard to say why the other vendors were more expensive but CPQ's quote looks reasonable.
