Today they say not to do drugs (from the list of "bad drugs" they came up with), but people and government officials are always crying for more "treatment" and such for the abusers. I think that instead the message to the public should be a loud and clear: "Do as many drugs of whatever types you like, but when you're in the gutter don't come running to us for treatment. If you make your bed, you're surely going to lie in it." Social ostracism of layabout drug users should be explored, instead of this, "run to uncle fed for help" mentality which is being foisted upon the public at large. The government is trying to set it up so that we as individuals will look to D.C. for help, when in actuality we're supposed to be knocking on our next door neighbor's door. That's one of the saddest things about the nanny state... the dissolution of one's sense of immediate community. FWIW Andy
