Are you out of your mind? In the early 70's-before the Vietnam war ended I was involved in installing TCI cable and marketing the product. Sometimes less then 10 channels were in the offering. These cables and other hardware are still hanging on the telephone poles. This is old, old hardware. WE would be better off replacing this with fiber optics. For God's sake, cable is there. That is why they want to use it. San Jose has A-B cable. It is so old that they had to run a second line to carry the extra channels. Can you imagine this folks?
To get anything but local channels, I have to get off my dead butt and go over to the TV and hit the B button to get ESPN, CNBC or CNN. All for $34.99 and going up. I only pay that to see Joe when I come home from work. Do you actually think that a company like AOL will turn into a shrinking violet because there is this assumption that coaxial is the wave of the future?
