All laws founded on the hypothesis of "hate crimes" are redundant.... Setting aside, if we may for a moment, the question of legality, Terry, could you consider whether they are, in fact, redundant? For example, as far as I am aware, it is not illegal to burn two pieces of wood; yet burning a cross to make a racist statement should have some stronger response than the trespassing and littering laws.
