It won't be AMD that finally gets Intel to move. It will be the threat of DDR. That's why we are getting these sudden press releases from both camps.
good point. i agree that ddr is important. i agree that ddr will have a place short-term. i am hanging on the rambus ceo's statement that ddr can't compete with rdram long-term and the sony ceo's statement that high speed ddr is unstable and sony won't use it.
it may be a war as you say. intel, samsung, hitachi, matsushita, micron, vlsi, sony, toshiba, fujitsu, infineon, mitsubishi, nec, oki, vanguard, winbond, are all rambus allies. i believe we are on the strongest side. i don't think it will be a contest. i think every rdram that the world can produce for the next few years will be sold as fast as it can be put in a device. unclewest ps. happy mom's day
