[May 6, 1999--GUANGZHOU] One of China's leading computer makers, Founder Group, is marketing its systems for China's growing e-commerce industry by promoting the use of e-management nationwide, according to the China Daily.

The computer manufacturer, which sold 72,000 computers in Q1 this year, capitalize on China's government encouraged movement towards e-commerce.

The general manager of Founder Computer Systems Co Ltd, Peiris Fung, told China Daily that by promoting 'e-management' the company
was bettering positioning itself in the local and foreign markets.

Fung said that Founder had in the last few years invested heavily in creating e-management systems for diversified end-users.

The company got a capital injection of just over US$7 million for its customer and technical service section, and Founder plans to sell
400,000 computers in 1999.

According to the company, it's manufacturing plant in Dongguan is capable of outputting 1 million computers annually.

With the government promoting e-commerce in China and the country's growth potential, it's not a wonder that local companies like Founder
are adopting an IBM-style marketing campaign to market their computers.

By 2003, International Data Corporation projects China Internet commerce revenue to be around US$5 billion and the its Internet population will reach 16 million.
