"single [ORB] complaint"? Don't overlook this other rave review:

x3.dejanews.com[ST_rn=qs]/getdoc.xp?AN=474695317

"...drive thrashes forever..."
"...rejects the disk..."
"...or simply crashes the system..."
"...thrashes, crashes, or is otherwise unable to recognize the drive."
"...Castlewood...seem to not have a clue to why this is happening..."
"...tells me...ORB is experiencing compatibility problems with the latest operating system..."

<<Now every attempt by Iomaniacs to bash Orb points to that one post.>>

Nope, there are at least two posts.

<<praise after praise is heaped upon Orb by Orb owners and people who want to buy an Orb and avoid "crappy" Iomega drives.>>

Not everyone is praising ORB. Possibly Castlewood has poor quality control and spits out 1/2-working and 1/2-garbage. That's still better than Iomega's other "competitors": Sony's HiFUD release proved 100% garbage and Syquest is now 100% out-of-business.
