But you have to feel sorry for her. Sure, she's a fool, but she is young, yearning for acceptance, and, in DC, the White House is the center. Can you blame her? No. But you can blame Slick.
When I graduated from college, I went to DC and lived there for 2 years. At age 21 it is so exciting, you think you are really cool, close to the action, etc. Of course, you don't do what she did, and you have to be centered, but I can easily see how it happened.
(I left after 2 years because I never could find a parking place near my house and I couldn't stand the crowds.)
